|a The Tallman Hospital began serving the health needs of the Coral Gables resindents on July 28, 1926. The facility was operated by two nurses during World War II. For the next several decades, the hospital expanded under the ownership of Health Care, Inc. (HCI), until it was purchased by Hospital Affiliates, Inc. (HAI) in 1971 and became known as Coral Gables Hospital. It became part of the Tenet Healthcare Corporation network of hospitals since 1997. |
