Notes

Abstract:
"The natural rock bridge at Arch Creek was a popular attraction for both residents and tourists. Over thousands of years the creek eroded the porous limestone, creating the natural bridge. In 1974, the bridge collapsed just hours after the state of Florida purchased the site for preservation. The Arch Creek Park opened in 1982 and a replica of the bridge was built on the original site."--From "Miami in Vintage Postcard", by Patricia Kennedy, 2000.
