Each year, Turner Tech students utilize their technical skills learned in the school to capture local history and honor the community's pioneer citizens. Students interview, record, transcribe and reproduce the memories of Miami residents, with a focus on civil rights. Nellie Mitchell was born and raised in Miami, Florida. In this interview, Mitchell talks about her feelings about growing up and living in Miami, especially her experience of segregation in Miami.
