Abstract:
Federal regulations require that an Environmental Assessment be developed for each Community Development (CD) Target Area. This environmental assessment is designed to provide a sound basis for a decision concerning a proposed project in terms of the significance of its environmental impact. The importance of this document lies with the flow of future decisions rather than with the information disclosed. Little Havana is described as a CD Target Area for purposes of the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The CDBG is administered by the Department of Community Development, under the supervision of the City Manager and approval of the City Commission.
