Circa 1914 black and white photo of Carney House - courtesy of the Historical Association of Southern Florida. Neg. no. 288-12. The Miami News Building was also known as the Freedom Tower. It was home of the newspaper Miami News from its opening in 1925 to the late 1950s. Since 2005 it is the Miami Dade College Museum of Art and Design.
