General Note:
Circa 1970s Giant post card Florida. Caption on the back reads: FLAMINGOS in a TYPICAL FLORIDA SETTING OF TROPICAL PALMS AND FLOWERS. These colorful birds attract the visitor of Florida. The story tells, that Ponce de Leon, landing in Florida, saw Flamingos in big clusters sitting in the swamps. Mistaking them for flowering bushes, he called the newly discovered land "Florida," Isle of Flowers. This picture shows one of the many beautiful scenes in Sarasota Jungle Gardens, one of the outstanding attractions of Florida.
