Scope and Content:
Letter reads: Dear Mayor Levine, As Mayor of the City of Doral, it is my privilege to extend greetings and the warmest congratulations to the City of Miami Beach during the celebration of its 100th anniversary. It is with great pride that we celebrate a city that is known as "the American Riviera" and that has served as a cultural courtyard for worldwide known artists. A city that the whole world wants to visit because of their beaches, parks, museums, galleries and very unique historic architecture. Undoubtedly, the City of Miami Beach proudly represents a hub for business, arts, and entertainment. Today, we also celebrate the Vision of city pioneers, Carl Fisher, John Collins and the Lummus brothers, who directed the first years of growth and as a result the city is the home to numerous sites in the National Register of Historic Places, such as the Venetian Causeway to the famous Fontainebleau Hotel. Therefore, as Mayor and on behalf of the City Council Members and residents of the great City ofDoral, I would like to congratulate you, the Members ofthe City Commission, and the staff for the accomplishments that have made the City of Miami Beach an incredible place in South Florida. Cordially, Mayor Luigi Boria. ( en )
