dPanther project team consists of the
FIU Library ’s
GIS Center , providing platform development and support as well as project collaboration; the Digital Collections Center, providing training, consultation, digitization, and metadata services; the dPanther Advisory Committee of FIU Library department representatives; and a special thanks to the UF Library development team for their support of the SobekCM software, on which the dPanther system is based.

Content
If you or your organization wishes to have your materials shared through dPanther, contact FIU’s Digital Collections Center (DCC), at dcc@fiu.edu.
Content Partners/Contributors – Archives, libraries, museums, and private collectors with cultural, historical, and research materials that wish to serve their digitized content through the dPanther system for scholars, students, and interested citizens to access internationally via the Web. Partners may also include K-12 and university educational programs and research initiatives. Partners perform all copyright clearance, scanning, metadata, and ingest tasks related to their collections. dPanther will provide hosting services to “Partners", and the Florida Digital Archive also preserves any content hosted in dPanther. Development and design/branding work may incur fees. Depending on the volume of content, complexity of content types and formats, IT and/or processing maintenance fee may apply. A content partner may establish contractual work with FIU library.
Collaborators – External organizations, and University departments or centers that work collaboratively on digital initiatives with FIU’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Center and/or Digital Collections Center (DCC), by contributing funds, IT maintenance and/or personnel time to a mutually beneficial project, either through grants or institutional commitment.
Membership
Membership is open to any individuals or organizations (non-profit) wishing to provide funding for ongoing development and outreach for dPanther digital initiatives. This development includes supporting the technical infrastructure costs, partner training and the development and promotion of the collections.
Organizational annual membership levels:
Executive dPanther Member – $10,000
In addition to support for the general hosting and development, this membership level offers the opportunity to fund up to 4,000 pages of FIU Library digitization projects that match both the University’s mission and the interest of the member.
Sustaining dPanther Member – $5,000
In addition to support for the general hosting and development, this membership level offers a the opportunity to fund up to 2,000 pages of FIU Library digitization projects that match both the University’s mission and the interest of the member.
Supporting dPanther Member – $2,500
In addition to support for the general hosting and development, this membership level offers a the opportunity to fund up to 1,000 pages of FIU Library digitization projects that match both the University’s mission and the interest of the member.
Contributing dPanther Member – $1,000
This membership level provides support for the general hosting and development of dPanther. Contributing membership dues are pooled to cover the technical infrastructure costs, partner training and the development and promotion of the collections and dissemination via dPanther framework.
