Description

The impact and influence of Morris Lapidus is relayed through interviews with architects Ira Giller and Robert Swerdroe, as well as writer Clotilde Luce. Included are the criticisms made against Lapidus when he built hotels such as the Fontainebleau, the Americana and the Eden Roc on Miami Beach. Also discussed are aspects of the Neo baroque and Miami Modern (MiMo) architectural movement, and the legacy the hotels and visiting celebrities have had on Miami Beach.
