Next, the Trust listens to a report from Julie Hamilton regarding the Black Enterprise Conference and to a report from Lee Robinson, the Trust's finance director regarding the Trust's revenues and expenditures as of April 30, 2005 and an update about the capital improvement projects taking place at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. During the meeting, the Trust agrees to approve the historical marker text. Next, the Trust listens to committee reports that discuss the upcoming office move to Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, a proposed budget for fiscal year 2005-2006, and updates on how to expand the Trust's fundraising efforts. The Trust also discusses stepping up their efforts to contact local Miamians who were integral to getting Virginia Key Beach open, showing the oral history documentary to the local community in order to receive feedback about highlighting important themes in the oral histories, and the final taping of the CABLE-Tap program. Lastly, the Trust discusses the location for the potential nature center, the completion of the renovations and repairs projects, and the executive director's report by David Shorter.
