Note from Peter Wayne Harlem: My guess is that this was a 1st Platoon "Bandit" gunship cause by 1967 118th was equipped w/"D" lift ships and this was taken early 67 at TSN by me! I can't explain the nose "Thunderbird" w/ the blue eight unless they pulled the avionics door too. The other possibility is that this was in fact a special purpose bird with the 3rd "Choppers" plt and when it was turne din, the doors from a worn out "bandit" gunship were turned in with it.
