The archive includes graffiti works photographed by Alan Ket (Alain Mariduena) dating back to 1986. His photographs are an extensive record of graffiti art on trains and walls in cities throughout the world including New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, Copenhagen, and many others. In addition to Ket's own photography, the archive consists of thousands of images which Ket has acquired over the past 30 years from around the world through trading and gifting amongst graffiti artists, thus collecting photography dating back to 1973. The archive also consists of notes, sketches, drawings, and a collection of original signatures of over 400 artists dating back to the early 1970s. The archive functions to preserve images and works of the graffiti art movement that have been historically under documented. Over 90% of the works featured in the archive no longer exist. For many of the artists featured the documented works are the only lasting proof of their artistic output.
