1. This building was lived in by members of the [Thomas J.] Peters family before 1900, when they were starting the tomato deal. House is made of barrel staves. ca. 1897.
2. Peters tomato packing house, crew, and small steam locomotive used to haul tomatoes to Cutler. 1902?
3. The wooden track railroad was used first about the turn of the century. The cars were pulled with mules from Peters to Cutler, a distance of some 4 miles. They could move about 2 cars per day, or no more than 1,000 crates of tomatoes. 1902?
