Scope and Content:

A portrait of Carl T. Von Cosel, the Key West radiologist who fell in love with Elena M. Hoyos, a terminal tuberculosis patient then attempted to revive her for seven years after her death. He was employeed at the U.S. Marine hospital in Key West, but his medical credentials were never verified. Donated by Stetson Kennedy.
