Abstract:
Mayor John Hale Levi dated 1943. July 6, 1943 B&W photo autographed :To my good friend Mayor “Mitch” Wolfson with best wishes D. Lee Powell. Powell was three-times Mayor of Miami Beach and the man most responsible for Miami Beach’s law outlawing antidiscrimination. Powell served on the City Council for 25 years retiring in 1967 on July 6, 1943. He gave this photo to his good friend Mitchell Wolfson who resigned as mayor to enlist in the armed forces. July 6, 1943 B&W photo autographed “To Mitch with best wishes” William “Bill” Burbridge. Ralph Pole B&W photo autographed “Good luck Mitch for many years” Ralph.
