Group hold up a flag in celebration of the City of Boynton Beach's "first annual birthday party," held in new civic center. Helen Glass designed flag, Alice Shepard made it. Left to right: Walter Madsen (Councilman), Ralph Huglins, Joyce Stevens (President of Chamber of Commerce), James J. Mahoney, Alice Shepard, J. Allison Banks (Councilman), Judge Martin R. Durkin, Helen A. Glass. This event dated the 46th birthday from an incomplete attempt at incorporation in 1917.
