Notes

General Note:
Group portrait of young men in a field. Bottom row (left to right): Bud French, Frank Austin, Charlie Ruth, Frank French. Top row (left to right): Earl Gilbert, Glenn Murray (in uniform), Harry Petrie, Billie Smith, Bob Creech, Ace Clawson. Much antagonism existed between the Boynton and Delray baseball teams. There was much betting on the games, and there were sore losers. Glenn Murray bought the only uniform from Harry Petrie when he needed money. The uniform was homemade. The location of the playing field is that area where the Boynton Public Library and tennis courts stand today. The hats in the photograph are genuine panama." Published in The Examiner, 1 Aug 1974.
