Abstract:
The Calder Race Course, now known as the Calder Casino, was a twenty million dollar facility that spanned 220 acres. It was located on 210 Street and NW 27 Avenue in Miami Gardens, FL and featured a state of the art eight story glass enclosed grandstand that held both the grandstand and clubhouse. The clubhouse included the turf club restaurant. The facility had seating for 6,000, parking for 10,000 cars and could stable 1,200 horses. The track was one mile, with a seven furlong turf course.
General Note:
The showcase of thoroughbred racing. Completely air conditioned and features all weather sandtrack and turf course. Located just 15 minutes from downtown Miami at 210 Street and NW 27 Avenue.
