Scope and Content:
Denis Russ was the founder of the Miami Beach Community Development Corporation and is the current Executive Director. He came to the Beach as a child in 1947 and graduated from Miami Beach High School in 1960. He talks about his growing up years and his heavy involvement with the historic preservation movement led by Barbara Capitman and the concurrent redevelopment of the Beach community.
