Abstract:
Flamingo Hotel is the first grand resort built on Miami Beach by Carl Fisher and his partner Cecil G. Fowler in 1921 at the cost of $2 million. Overlooking Biscay Bay, and surrounded by 15 acres of flower gardens, it provided 150 rooms, yatching, swimming, a private dock, a cabana club, and many other activities. -- From Miami beach in vintage postcards.
