Letter reads: Dear Friends: As Governor of the Sunshine State, it is my pleasure to congratulate the residents and businesses of Miami Beach on your community's 100th anniversary. Thank you for all you are doing to welcome visitors from around the world to the Sunshine State. Tourism is a huge generator of jobs for our state, and you are helping create more opportunities for Florida families. A thriving tourism industry is vital to growing jobs, and Florida continues to experience record numbers of visitors, which is great news for Florida families. With more than 1 .1 million jobs making up our growing tourism industry, together we are continuing to grow more opportunities for Floridians and making Florida a global destination for jobs. Again, congratulations on Miami Beach's 100th anniversary. Sincerely, Rick Scott, Governor. ( en )
